When you are ready to import all of the coins from a paper wallet, select ‘Scan’
|This is an example of a paper wallet. Yours may look different, but it will have a QR code labeled ‘Private Key’.
This is the QR code that you must scan to be able to get the coin out of the paper wallet.
To get the QR code to scan, move the app closer to the paper wallet until the app automatically recognizes it.
|When the app has successfully scanned the QR code, you will be given a choice of options. You will want to select ‘Import Funds’ so that the coin from the paper wallet will be moved into the Copay wallet.|
|As the coin is being imported, you will see a spinning icon showing that the transfer is in progress|
|When complete, you will see the balance of your Copay wallet has increased by the amount from the paper wallet.
Destroy and discard the paper wallet. Do not use it again. This is the recommended way of making sure that your bitcoin purchases are secure.
