The ATMs will update the price feed every 5 minutes, and when a transaction takes place they will transmit a photo of the person and a few lines of text.

While it is possible to use a Wifi connection, we strongly recommend using a hardwired ethernet connection. This provides the most reliable, consistent, and robust connectivity for the machine.

In certain cases where running an ethernet cable is too difficult, then wifi may be acceptable.

We prefer not to use public networks (such as the open network at a coffee shop) due to security concerns and potential over saturation when there are many customers on site.

Altogether this is no more data than it takes to send a photo to someone on your camera phone – it is a negligible amount.
